Be comfortable

Adventure is much more fun when your feet aren’t staging a protest. Wear comfy shoes, dress for the weather and check the forecast before you head out.

If it’s warm, take some water. If rain looks likely, bring something waterproof. Come prepared for exploring, wandering and the occasional unexpected detour.

Bring your phone

Your phone is your guide, puzzle master and key to adventure. Make sure it’s fully charged before you set off. A power bank is a good idea for longer adventures, and keep an eye on your battery as you go.

You’ll play in the PuzzleDuck app. Have a connection available to open the hunt and sync your progress.

Look up, watch where you’re walking and stay aware of roads, other people and everything happening around you.

Accessibility

At PuzzleDuck, we are committed to making our Digital Treasure Hunts as accessible and inclusive as possible. When designing our experiences, we carefully consider route planning, terrain, accessibility, and the needs of a wide range of participants. Wherever practical, we aim to avoid unnecessary barriers and provide enjoyable experiences that can be accessed by as many people as possible. However, our hunts take place in public spaces that are managed by local authorities, businesses and other organisations. As a result, circumstances beyond our control may affect accessibility on the day of your visit. Temporary roadworks, building works, public events, maintenance, diversions, changes to pedestrian routes, lift or ramp closures, restricted access, or other unforeseen circumstances may mean that parts of a route are temporarily inaccessible. While we regularly review and update our hunts, we cannot guarantee that every location will remain fully accessible at all times. We recommend allowing extra time for your adventure and, where necessary, choosing an alternative route around any temporary obstruction. Our app is designed so that, in most cases, participants can continue their adventure even if a particular location cannot be reached exactly as planned. If you have specific accessibility requirements or would like advice before purchasing a hunt, please contact us and we will be happy to discuss the most suitable options. We also welcome feedback from participants, as it helps us continually improve the accessibility and inclusivity of future PuzzleDuck experiences.

We want as many people as possible to enjoy a PuzzleDuck adventure. Real towns and cities can change: roadworks, events, closed ramps or lifts and other temporary obstacles may affect access.
